I’d been doing cat doodles here and there for my dad for a while now, featuring our household cats, Charlotte, Blackie, and Max. One day he wondered aloud how cartoonists are able to come up with an idea and crank out a drawing each day (in effect throwing down the gauntlet, whether he meant to or not).
Since then, the doodles have become a regular thing. I leave one on the breakfast table before I head to bed in the wee hours, so Dad’ll find it and have a laugh along with his morning coffee.
I’ve been posting these on Facebook occasionally, as well as have a section for them on my regular website, jeantuttle.com, but seemed like it was time to take the plunge and start a blog. So here goes…
Very nice blog, Jean! I was looking for a follow button somewhere… I didn’t see it, so I saved you as a favorite.
Kristen
Hey Kristen, just got that Follow button figured out and added last night. (I guess it’s automatically loaded on WordPress.com sites (vs. WordPress.org ones, which this is). Still figuring things like that out. Not as easy as the doodling part of things for me. 😉
Meanwhile thanks again for your kind interest, and the thumbs-up!
Jean,
I’m so glad you are putting these up on a blog. Gracias amigo!
Dorothy
You’re definitely one of the reasons I’m finally taking this plunge, Dorothy. Thanks for egging me on, and for being such a kind audience when I’ve shared these little scribblings over on Facebook. Much appreciated!
Jean, I like this style of drawing and the different personalities of your characters.
