My Blue Valentine

First off,  a very warm welcome to The Daily Cat Doodle’s new subscribers. Thanks so much for stopping by, and for signing up to get updates. You definitely class the joint up!

Welcome Friends!

The theme of today’s doodle was inspired by a comment that came in early this morning, from my friend Linda, on a sushi doodle from last week. Thinking about sushi made me want some, too (despite that there was no place open to buy any, I was still in my PJs, etc.). So I figured, why not draw some?

Which kind of fit, given the lovely raw fish & dairy Deluxe Assortment that arrived late yesterday, from Charlotte down in Puerto Vallarta.

Blue Valentine

Blackie has been very blue, missing her, so the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. And, I have to say, it showed a touching amount of forethought on Charlotte’s part, since Parcel Post can (and in this case did) take quite a few days. So, thank you, Miss Kitty—your kind gesture will long be remembered by everyone here, I am sure!

Isn’t that funny…. sushi and all. I’m on my own for dinner tonight and I was just thinking about what to have. I think you’re doodle just solved that question.

By the way, I think a sushi valentine has good marketing possibilities.

      Hey Linda,
      A sushi valentine…Hmm, now there’s food for thought! 😉
Have an excellent evening and thanks again for the inspiration this morning!

  2. I’m thrilled that you put me and Steve into one of your cool drawings, Jean. And wearing one of my flowers too!

    Thanks!

Thanks, Dorothy, so glad you liked—I never know how someone will feel doodled as a mouse, but there you guys are, in that Bienvenue drawing up top, next to Linda from New York, and my pal Karen from Chicago (sipping the tea—she’s just getting over whooping cough in real life). I’m so happy you all subscribed!

And yes, no outfit is really complete without one of your stunning fabric flower pins—that’s for sure! Whenever I wear one, I get the nicest compliments. I’m so glad you posted the link—if you hadn’t, I would have— your Etsy shop is fabulous!
